About Me

That's me, MaxWelcome to my basketball blog!

My name is Max, and I’m a 33-year-old basketball enthusiast who has been involved in the sport in various capacities for over 20 years. As a player, I started at the Children and Youth Sports School before advancing to play for the KHNEU team and eventually joining the KHABL (Kharkiv Amateur Basketball League).

In 2010, I created https://basketball-training.org.ua/, the first resource in the CIS countries dedicated to basketball training. Over time, the site grew to become the largest resource for basketball training in Ukraine, russia (these bastards invaded my country), belarus, Kazakhstan, and other former Soviet Union countries.

My understanding of basketball is multifaceted, as I have experienced the game as a player, a novice coach, and an analyst who can work with massive amounts of data. This unique combination of skills allows me to analyze various aspects of basketball comprehensively.

In 2020, I had the idea to create a global basketball resource that would help players around the world make informed decisions, whether it be selecting a training program, basketball sneakers, a durable outdoor ball, or comfortable socks that prevent chafing. However, I hesitated, primarily due to my concerns with the English language and delivering valuable information to a broader audience.

But now, in 2023, I have finally decided to take the plunge and start writing content for this site. I am committed to providing valuable and engaging information, and I hope I won’t disappoint you. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and let’s elevate our basketball knowledge together!
